“Honor thy Mothers and Grandmothers”

I. Why Honor Mothers?

Genesis 3:20 – The life for all humanity

Psalms 139:13-14 – Women care what God created

Exodus 20:12 Ephesians 6:2 – Command from God

Numbers 11:4-6 – We easily forget what God gave us in our mothers and grandmothers.

II. Honoring Godly women.

Eve – Mother of all living

Sarah – Mother of Isaac – Waiting on God

Jochebed – Mother of Miriam, Aaron, & Moses – Faith in God

Rahab – Mother of Boaz – From not so good to Redeemed Hero of Faith

Hannah- Mother of Samuel – Childless vs Plentiful

Mary – Mother of Jesus - Blessed

Lois and Eunice – Grandmother and mother of Timothy – Pass on what is entrusted to you to others.            

III. We Honor Mothers and Grandmothers!

Proverbs 1:8

Proverbs 31:1-9

-        A Christ Centered Church Honors those that God Honors. The world will never understand or acknowledge Women as God made them to be.

-        May God be Glorified not in just in the physical aspects of a Woman, but the actions and words that gives life too.
